Welcome to my page listing the current willow sculpture workshops that I have to offer  from  various venues in  Hampshire in the south of England

As a willow sculptor  I love sharing my craft with others, so whether your a total novice or someone who has some experience and enjoys experimenting and trying something different I have plenty of willow weaving sculpture activities to choose from

I offer  a variety of options for individuals as well as providing activities for groups/ organisations./ schools etc  and working on larger bespoke projects

Duck, duck goose -willow workshop  £80

There is something about farm yard birds, I can spend hours watching them, they are such interesting creatures. So, if you are as fascinated as I am why not start creating your own flock!.

We will be using metal legs to enable you to  hold them into the ground or use  a base  e.g a wood slice you can add feet if you wish to

Create a  willow obelisk /plant climbing frame and a  dragonfly/ butterfly for your garden

Such a lovely  way to get ready for the  start of the gardening season create a willow obelisk  for your garden and accompany it with a small  dragonfly and butterfly  sculpture .

Willow woodpecker/kingfisher workshop

£45, Saturday 12th March   10:30am – 2:30pm

Create your own stunning garden bird from willow.  Enjoy this relaxing and traditional art overlooking the Tudor House Garden, while you are guided through the process of working with willow and making your own garden sculpture using a range of techniques.

Create a willow hare workshop £80,

Create a sitting hare, an animal steeped in mystery and  storytelling and a lovely addition to your home or garden. You can create your hare  with its  ears down and  looking upwards to the heavens or ears up facing forward.

You will learn a variety of techniques including a variety of basketry techniques and freeform weaving to create your sculpture.

Willow bird feeder workshop

£35, 7th May  9.30 am – 11.30 pm

Have fun creating your own handmade bird feeders, You will make two different feeders a willow cone and a willow spiral. If you don’t have a garden don’t be put of as they are also great for holding all other manner or items

Create a willow bee sculpture

£65  (  10am-4pm  workshop) Date 21st  May

A a great statement piece and unusual sculpture, you can create a honey bee or bumble bee or any bee of your choice.

Venue: Burley Village Hall, at Burley Village Hall. Burley, Ringwood, New Forest.

 

Willow dragonfly’s and Butterfly’s  workshop

£35 11th June-  9.30 am -12,30 pm

 

 

 

 

A great introduction to willow weaving enjoy creating your very own willow dragonfly and butterfly.

Create a cute willow piglet , a great introduction to sculpting four  legged animals

£85,Saturday 25th June,  10 am -5pm.

You will learn a number of techniques including random weave and techniques. The workshop is suitable for beginners and those with some experience. Please note that the level of detail that you will achieve will depend on your level of experience

Chicken workshop

£80. 9th July  10am – 4pm

There is something so appealing about chickens I could watch them for hours how about you ? The chickens we will be making  are made with metal legs to allow you to place them in the ground or use with a base.

The workshops on this page are suitable for all levels of experience and available to adults and young people aged over 14 years who are attending with a responsible adult. Please know that you need good hand  strength and dexterity if this is a problem for you please contact me before booking a place to discuss
