Willow sculpture, weaving workshops taking place in Hampshire Uk,

Welcome to my willow sculpture, weaving workshop page, as a willow sculptor making my own sculptures I love sharing my craft with others so whether your a total novice who is curious and has always fancied having a go, or someone who has some experience and enjoys experimenting and trying something different I have plenty of options for you choose from.

At the moment with the current lockdown, my in-person workshops have been put on hold for a while, hopefully, these will be starting again soon ( see below)  I have several already planned so fingers crossed we will be able to do something soon.

If you are itching to do something now or aren’t likely to be able to join me, you might be interested in joining me for one of my virtual introduction to willow workshops. I offer the option of a

  • Pre-recorded workshop which you can work through at your own pace or an
  • Online workshops where we meet via the airwaves. If you are interested in finding out more simply pop over to the  online workshop pages 

In-person workshops

The workshops are suitable for all levels of experience but only available to adults and young people aged over 14 years who are attending with a responsible adult.

I tend to work from a variety of venues however at the moment I am working with the Wickham Community Centre near Fareham as it provides self-contained spaces and Butser Ancient Farm as we can be outside.

Create a willow hare workshop

Create a sitting or moon gazing hare an animal steeped in mystery and storytelling and a lovely addition to your home or garden.

You will learn a variety of techniques including a variety of basketry techniques and freeform weaving to create your sculpture 

  • Saturday 24th April  10am – 5.00 pm  Wickham Community Centre, nr Fareham  £75
  • and Saturday 5th June 10am -4pm at Butser Ancient Farm, nr Chalton/ Clanfield,  £80   Please note that this workshop will be outside under shelter if you haven’t visited  before please visit their  website  

Create a willow piglet workshop

£80  Saturday 15th May  10am – 5.00 pm  Wickham Community Centre, nr Fareham

Create a cute willow piglet which is a great introduction to sculpting animals.

You will learn a number of techniques including random weave and basketry techniques. The workshop is suitable for beginners and those with some experience. Please note that the level of detail that you will achieve will depend on your level of experience.

Farmyard birds- Willow chicken/duck/goose workshop

£75     10 am -5 pm  at the: Wickham Community Centre, nr Fareham.  This workshop will be taking place May /June date to still be confirmed 

I don’t know about you but I just love farmyard birds they are such interesting creatures so if you’re like me here is your chance to make your own.

You will learn a variety of techniques including a variety of basketry techniques and freeform weaving to create your sculpture I provide you with a metal pole to enable you to secure your creation to the ground 

Willow wading birds workshop

£80, 10am – 4pm  Saturday July 3rd  at Butser Ancient Farm, nr Chalton/ Clanfield.  Please note that  this workshop will be outside under shelter if you haven’t visited  before please visit their  website 

Join me at this wonderful setting to create your own wading bird, example of birds that you can create include, herons, egrets, curlews, spoonbills.
You will learn a variety of techniques including different basketry techniques and freeform weaving to create your sculpture, the bird’s legs are made from steel to enable them to be placed in the ground.

 Live willow workshops

I am currently planning to offer live willow and making items for the garden obviously, this will depend on how quickly we come out of lockdown  If this is possible I thought that I would mention that I also sell willow harlequin trees ready-made if you would like to find out more please visit my shop.
