The workshops are suitable for all level of experience. If you are interested in attending a class please read the Frequently Asked Questions at the bottom of the page.

A  great introduction to the craft of working with willow, The class is suitable for total beginners aged over 14 years all materials and equipment is included.

Saturday 15th February 9.30 am -16.15  pm, £70 per person, at the D@rt Centre, Wildern School, Hedge End nr Southampton

There is something about chickens, they are such interesting creatures, so if you are as interested as I am why not start creating your own flock.

A light lunch and refreshment is provided at this workshop

Hearts and flowers an introduction to willow sculpture

Saturday  28th March , 10 am – 4pm , Furzey Gardens, Minstead, New Forest  £65 workshop canceled , the  workshop is now available as a online workshop 

Create a selection of items do decorate your home and garden, a  lovely introduction to willow sculpture for anyone wishing to make a  number of smaller items

Dragonfly willow craftSummer willow for the garden – dragonflies & flowers

Saturday 2nd May 10 am -4 pm  at Anvil Arts, Basingstoke ( this has been postponed until a later date and is now available online as a virtual workhop),

A great willow activity making small willow craft items for the garden, you will create a selection of items including dragonflies, flowers and much much more. more details to follow soon

An introduction to willow basketry.

Participants will learn a variety of techniques to create a willow platter  or simple basket to take home, all materials are included.

Create a willow owl workshop

You may have probably noticed that I love birds and so I thought that it was about time that I offered an owl workshop at this most splendid of wildlife art exhibitions which is part of the Hampshire Open Art Studios fortnight

What’s included in the price?

All tools and materials are included along with refreshments fruit and cakes unless otherwise stated

Additional information

The workshops are designed to meet all levels of experience and the level of detail that you will achieve will depend on your previous experience. If you need advice please contact me.

Spaces usually book up quickly if there are any still available the minimum notice that I require is as follows

  • One week to create an item using the traditional brown willow and
  • 3 days notice  if you are happy to use buff willow (this is not suitable for staying outside in cold/wet weather.)

Please note that working with willow and can be tiring on the hands and may be difficult for you to do if you have conditions such as arthritis or find it hard to grip and pull. If your not sure or have any concern please contact me in advance to discuss as I may be able to assist you with using alternative materials.

Please wear clothing that you like working in. You are welcome to bring your own secateurs and gloves if you wish to.
