  • Community arts project development outreach worker 2008 - 2009 for the Community Builders in the Test Valley rual area

  • Community Development worker with the Community Innovations multi agency  project,  supporting and developing voluntary sector groups for older  people based in Winchester. ( part time position)

  • Childcare Development Officer,(3 years) Community Development worker (4 years) and Play Development Officer ( 2 years)

During my time with EBC

  • I provided support and advice to a diverse range of voluntary sector groups and projects
  • Provided small business startup advice and support.
  • I ran the EBC playschemes, providied a range of training opportunities
  • Worked ih partnership witn a variety of differnet organisations to develop a range of events including the Eastleigh Mella Festival and Eastleigh Under fives days.

Southampton Community Activity Bus

In this role I worked  part of a small team providing arts and sports activities for families and children across the city. In term time we worked with families,  after school groups, the gypsy traveller community and a variety if community groups including the Deaf Association , Mind and Womens Aid . In the summer holidays we recruited additional staff to assist us in providing holiday play schemes across the city.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Relevant Qualifications

  • Culture Studies Degree BA
  • Training the trainer certificate (training in the community)
  • Community Work stage two
  • No  Limits Youth Advice Service advice and support training
  • A variety of computer arts based qualifications including using Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop and Dreamweaver
  • Funding Advice training and other relevent training relating to equality , particpation and enablement.

I have completed the 1st year of a  foundation degree in Creative Industries

I have also participated in a variety of arts and crafts adult education courses and workshops including sewing, pattern cutting, woodwork, pottery, life drawing, live willow work, and painting.
