Here are just a few examples of some of the topics on offer for further details or to discuss this or any potential workshop shop  please contact me to discuss in more detail..   

  • Be inspired, creativity day ...if you feel that you have always wanted to create a piece of art  but have not  known where to start, then this is the activity for you. .Suitable for those who have little or no experience or those who want some new ideas. This is your opportunity to work  with a assortment of interesting  materials and learn a variety of different techniques and most importantly have fun.  By the end of day you will go home with new ideas that you can use at home.
  • Collective art group work projectsParticipants work on a collaborative  project  to create a large piece of art work for example banners, posters, murals and wall hangings. The pieces can be created using a variety of creative approaches including traditional techniques  with paint or fabrics, 3d  collage based modelling, textile based or using a variety of natural materials.
  • Fairy activity day- Have you ever wanted to explore the world of fairies if you have then this is your opportunity. I am very fond of fairies It is an activity that is great fun and brings much laughter. You can choose from a selection of activities including costume making, jewellery design and wing construction we can even decorate and make a fairy grotto if you wish.
  • New clothes from old, Learn how to revamp and transform your old clothes into something new.
  • Weaving on a large frame an ideal project for a group of people wishing to produce a  large permanent piece of work for display. This final piece  can be mounted on a fabric background or left within the frame for a permanent display.
  • Willow and wire Sculptures intermediate the next step on from the introductory workshop. Willow and wire sculpture intermediate is suitable for a  those who have already taken an introductory course or as a one day workshop. This topic can be adapted to suit and can be based around working with individuals, working in pairs ( individual or working in pairs showed above ) .
  • Wizard activity day Many of us never loose our love for magical stories , books and films here is your chance to become a wizard for the day.  Magicians go by many names and  are  often intrinsic to a particular legend of fable as well as appearing as a teacher, guide or seeker of the truth.  They are known to appear at times of change or exist as holy men within a variety of cultures. This workshop can be adapted to meet the needs of the group and can focus on the magical wizarding world of Harry Potter and the like,  or link to a specific place or time for example  Chinese legends  or Native American Indian culture.

Please note It is sometimes possible to combine the beginner's and intermediate activities for small groups and is particularly useful as a tool for engagement for groups of people aged 14 years and above.

  • Large Willow and wire structures  (advanced ) using similar techniques to the willow lanterns and  wire sculptures using  more a mixture of materials including tissue, foils and other recycled materials . This activity is ideally suited to constructing  larger structures. (at least 1 day is needed for this activity)

Short taster sessions In addition to the courses and workshops I provide a selection of taster sessions lasting from between 1 and 1. 1/2 hours suitable for most small groups , for further information please contact me for a current list of activities.

Additional Information

Many of the topics can be expanded upon to provide a variety of related experiences.

The activities can also be delivered as a training exercise for adult groups who wish to gain new skills of develop and build on existing skills.

Many of the activities also lend themselves to a joint working approach for example for working  alongside other facilitators who are providing community based /education based training and teaching.

I am  also available to provide courses and topic related projects linked to a theme or outcome.

These are usually run for a more extended period of time and are ideal for working with a larger group or a groups who would benefit from having a longer amount of time to work on a project.
